Cambridge is widely recognized by higher education institutions and employers around the world as evidence of academic archivement. Many universities require a combination of Cambridge International A Levels and Cambridge IGCSEs to meet their entry requirements.

Most subjects offered at Legae Academy are at Extended Level. This means that subjects can attain grade between A* to E in a subject taken at Extended Level. To cater for differing levels of ability, Legae Academy offers certain subjects at Core Level. Core Level is done by students that are expected to achieve a grade between C to G.

Most students write Cambridge IGCSE final examinations at the end of Form 5, in the October/ November session. In special circumstances, students can also opt to write the examinations in the May/ June session.
 
Legae Academy has a very successful pass rate in Cambridge IGCSE, including a high credit pass rate. The school is also proud of its students that have achieved the Cambridge Top in the World Award, with 2016 being the latest year in which students have received this most prestigious award.
