An excursion to the BSPCA .

The Legae Academy Environment & Young Scientists Club took a trip to the ‘Botswana Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ (BSPCA) this morning to not only play with the most adorable dogs and cats, but gather some in depth knowledge on how stray animals are taken in, rehabilitated, and put up for adoption into loving homes.

The BSPCA, a non-profit organisation located in Broadhurst, shelters many animals either rescued or brought in from unsafe environments, lost and or abandoned on the streets.  The organisation aims to educate the public on ways to care for animals and help remove the stigma of violence around certain breeds of dogs.

Our students volunteered their time to help walk the dogs and play with the cats.
